We are pleased to announce the second in-person PCP WISE workshop with buyers, end users, and suppliers, which will take place on 16-17 June 2026 at the Urban Environment House (KYMP-talo) in Helsinki. This upcoming event will bring together key stakeholders from across Europe to collaborate, exchange insights, and help shape the next phase of PCP WISE.
🤝 A space for collaboration and exchange
The workshop will offer participants an opportunity to connect with the wider PCP WISE community, discussing user needs, expectations for Phase 2, and lessons learned so far. These exchanges will play a key role in guiding the continued development of solutions and ensuring they meet the needs of buyers and end users.
🌍 PCP Academy: EO-based water risk services training
A dedicated technical training session will focus on Earth Observation (EO)-based services addressing water-related climate risks. Participants will gain insight into the EO data processing chain, including the use of tools such as GMTSAR and SNAP–StaMPS, and explore how EO-derived products can be integrated into hydrological models such as STEMMUS-SCOPE, as well as into digital twin environments and decision-support workflows.
🔎 Focusing on adoption and implementation
Building on the outcomes of the M10 workshop, discussions will address potential barriers and enabling factors for the uptake of PCP WISE solutions. With a clearer view of the solutions under development, participants will explore their specific characteristics and identify possible challenges for implementation.
🧠 Learning and sensemaking
Interactive and creative elements—such as a physical PCP WISE timeline highlighting key milestones and input points—will support networking and collaboration among participants. These activities are designed to facilitate knowledge sharing, encourage dialogue, and promote best practices across the PCP WISE community.
We look forward to welcoming participants to Helsinki for two days of engaging discussions and collaborative work as PCP WISE continues to advance innovative solutions to address water-related climate risks.
