Innovation procurement is becoming an increasingly important tool for public authorities seeking to address complex societal challenges while accelerating the uptake of innovative solutions. To support this transition, the Procure Innovation EU initiative is launching the 6th edition of its Innovation Procurement Training Programme for Public Buyers, taking place from 16 to 20 November 2026.
Designed specifically for staff from public contracting authorities, this intensive five-day, in-person programme provides practical knowledge and hands-on experience covering the full innovation procurement lifecycle, from defining procurement strategies to designing and implementing innovative procurement practices. The training also explores key legal, operational and strategic aspects, while strengthening participants’ analytical and project management skills. Travel, accommodation and meals are fully covered by the programme.
For the PCP WISE community, this training represents an excellent opportunity to deepen knowledge of innovation procurement, exchange experiences with peers from across Europe and build capacities that support the development of innovative solutions for climate-resilient water management.
⚠️ The programme is limited to 30 participants. Selected participants will benefit from an interactive learning environment, valuable networking opportunities, while travel, accommodation and meals are fully covered by the organisers.
Applications are open to public buyers’ staff from contracting authorities.
